The Writers Notebook, Mixed Reality Installation. 2008
Exhibited during the 2008 International Symposium on Electronics Arts in Singapore. The installation used research in real-time stable marker-less tracking techniques developed at the Interaction and Entertainment Research Center.

Stable Markerless Tracking for Mixed Reality 2008
This project explores a markerless tracking technique using image analysis/synthesis approach. Its task is to minimize the relative difference in image illumination between the synthesized and captured images. Through the use of a 3D geometric model and correct illumination synthesis, it promises more robust and stable results under different scenarios.

On-the-FLy Markerless Tracking for Mixed Reality 2008
This reseach developed an "On-the-Fly" approach which allows developers to create models "on-the-fly" easily and quickly. It basically uses a pointing device which we call the 3D digitizer. It has an infra-red LED at the tip. This is an improved version of digitizing to perform more sophisticated tasks such as drawing 3D shapes, on the fly. Using an stereoscopic HMD allows the user see what he is drawing in the 3D space.
